Coconut is undoubtedly known as the "Tree of Life". Every part of the tree from the leaves, fruit, and all the way down to its roots are useful. There is no waste in Coconut and it is highly praised for its medicinal benefits.
The Philippines has been blessed with vast lands and weather that are beneficial for its own local agricultural produce, and that includes Coconut.
The Philippines is the world's second largest producer of Coconut next to Indonesia. Philippine Coconut is known for its thick meat and the juice that has sweet to almost neutral, milky taste.
As of now, Hidden Manna Farms prioritises Coconut fruits and products that come from Region 8 (Eastern Visayas Region). This area was struck by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in November 2013 and an estimated 44 million trees were damaged. Until now, people from this area are still continuing to live and rise up from the economic devastation with the help of international community, NGOs, Government, and others, but still they are striving to get out of the rubble and live a new life.
As the local and international market opens opportunity for Philippine Coconut and other produce, we are grabbing this opportunity to show our land products and take the chance so that the people from this areas will be able to improve their lives and believe once more in Agriculture as a sector that should be placed above anything else in a society.
